After months of locking themselves in the studio, the Makeshift Parachutes smashed out a live show at Auckland’s Neck of the Woods on the 5th of May. They’ve been busy recording their new album and you can get a taste of it with their new single “King Eeyore’s Xanax Party” which they have released on all your digital channels just in time for the show.
About the song, the blog American Pancake says it “sounds the sound track for a Stranger Things dance party taking place in Baltimore, Maryland” and the blog Mystic Sons called it “some 80s techno vibes to this funk-filled, psych-rock thumper”.
It was a “blowout show at Neck Of The Woods” where the Makeshift Parachutes were supported by their pals Dual and Smokestack Slim. Things went wild with an after party with DJ Paige Julia and DJ Kamotion going well into the wee hours of the morning. Here’s the link with live photos published on Under the Radar.
Now the boys are back in the studio to record the rest of the album – so stay tuned!
